June and July were both decent month for Nick.  He got his first career win in the Limited Sportsman Division in June, maintaining a top 5 finishing spot in each event competed in and now August has come along and he's starting out with a flurry, capturing his second career victory already in the first week-end of the month.
He's climbed  week after week, out of 21 registered participants he's worked his way into 5th place after this weeks win.  If he hadn't missed the first couple of meets at the beginning of the season he'd be in contention for the season points championship.

Also even though missing the first few weeks he finished 5th in the Limited Sportsman Series.

Nick is back in the top 3 again on July 14th after what he termed an embarassing finish of 4th place on the 7th of July while fighting with some new tires.  He has returned the following week with another 2nd place finish on the 14th making it the 5th week in a row  since his return he's stayed in the top 5. Now that's not a bad start at all to his season.

That's exactly how Nick did it, 3rd place on his come back race on June 16th following that up with a 2nd place the following week to finish it all off with a feature race win on June 30th.
    
That win was Nick's first feature win since joining the Late Model ranks 3 years ago and this is only the first of many wins this year by the looks of things.

Nick's first trip out for the 2007 season happened finally after going to work at 6AM then an all night stint working on the car with no sleep but he finished with a great finish of 3rd place to come back the following week-end starting 12th and finishing second.  Does that mean this week-end means a first place finish?
